2024 has been declared the Year of Education by the African Union.In this context WATHI, with the support of the Irish Embassy in Senegal, islaunching this project which aims to lead a public debate that makeseducation reform the highest priority and most crucial to the region’s economic, social, political and security prospects.
Education in the broadest sense of the term has always been at the heartof WATHI’s mission. To improve the collective present and future well-being of the people of West Africa, WATHI’s action is part of a vision oflong-term transformation, which involves above all the transmission of knowledge, skills and attitudes, and therefore education and trainingsystems.
