English Summary
Ghana is reknowned as an example of democracy in West Africa. Unlike many of the presidential elections that took place in the region lately, it would be difficult to predict the outcome of the election planned for December 7th 2016. The results of the assessment of the outgoing president’s mandate are not the best, especially when it comes to economy. The leader of the main opposition party, Nana Akufo-Addo, who came second during the last presidential election with more than 47% of votes is an opponent to the outgoing president. This election could be the last one for him, since he is now 72 years old.
